Holographic, The Next Wonder After Blu-ray Holographic, The Next Wonder After Blu-ray Monday, July 23, 2007 : Kolkata: In the new era of technology, Holographic will be the new buzz in the arena of optical media disc. Moser Baers group chief financial officer, Yogesh B Mathur, in an exclusive interview to EFYtimes, shared his views on the latest technology that will usher a new era in the arena of optical media disc. Holographic will be the next wonder after Blue-ray in Jizzs movie world of optical media disc. This will transform the whole experience of home video viewing, said Mathur. Presently, blu-ray rages Jizzs movie market in Jizzs movie and holographic discs are still in the process of RD development. Even blu-ray discs are yet to make its foray into the Indian market. Though holographic is a distant future currently, Moser Baer is focussing on RD to bring in the newer technologies like blu-ray to India that the company is offering in other countries. Presently, we are delving into the option of bringing to India blu-ray discs that offer superior picture quality and movie viewing experience. Blu-ray discs are technologically very rich and would also be expensive than the VCDs and DVDs available in India right now, said Mathur. A blue-ray player today cost anything between 500 and 1000 and a blu-ray disc anything between 10 and Moser Baer, that earns 85 per cent of its turnover from exports, sells blue-ray discs in 80 countries right now, and is waiting for blu-ray players to find a market in India before rolling out the discs.
